Некоторые огородники, в чьем саду имеются плодовые деревья, практикуют окучивание деревьев перед наступлением зимы. Это делается для того, чтобы корневая система деревьев не вымерзала в особо морозные зимы. Большинство окучивает свои деревья обычной огородной землёй. Но вот несколько раз я встречала рекомендации использовать для такого окучивания древесные опилки. На самом деле, такое окучивание приведет к тому, что при прямом контакте с опилками древесная кора в месте соприкосновения с ними будет попросту выпревать. Поэтому использование опилок в этой ситуации является нецелесообразным. Это нужно сделать для того, чтобы предотвратить выпревание будущих всходов. Так как после схода снега солнце начинает активно пригревать наши участки, семена посеянные осенью, достаточно быстро начинают проклевываться. А под укрытием риск выпревания таких проклюнувшихся семян очень велик.
