Решила узнать о нем подробнее, оказывается этот замечательный художник Юрий Алексеевич Васнецов (22. 03. 1900 — 3. 05. 1973), состоял в отдаленном родстве с плеядой художников Васнецовых и был иллюстратором множества детских книжек, картинки из которых захватывали ярким волшебством, сродни нарядным дымковским игрушкам, расписными петухами и конями, свистульками и лубочными картинками. Создание этих иллюстраций было навеяно художнику, родившемуся в Вятском крае, впечатлениями от ярмарки игрушек «Свистуньи», проводившейся в городе Вятка (ныне Киров), с ее обилием ярких красок и фигурных линий игрушек. И, конечно же, его рисунки как никакие другие, запечатлялись в детском сознании.
