Здесь, на возвышенности, окруженный кипарисами, стоит массивный Драндский собор. Он был построен в VI в. Храм относится к крестово-купольным четырехстолпным храмам, распространенным на всей территории Византии в этот период времени. Его восточный фасад оформлен тремя пятигранными выступающими апсидами. Внутри храма в них расположен алтарь, через боковые проходы он соединяется с жертвенником и диаконником. Храм увенчан куполом, лежащим на низком шестнадцатигранном барабане.
